Your pitch & Vision
RePAPERit is an emerging start-up with a 'green philosophy' aiming to establish the paper industry guided by the principles of the circular economy. It provides solutions to businesses that want to recycle and adds new value to a product whose life cycle would end early.
Problem/Opportunity
Paper mills leave a significant environmental footprint, polluting the atmosphere, soil, and water. Recycling imposes a financial burden on companies because the system for managing and processing used paper operates with outdated technologies and a lack of vision.
Solution & Product
RePAPERit is a smart, in-house, energy-autonomous, paper recycling & reuse unit that operates on-demand using a dry defibering technology. Its main audience are companies and services with high consumption of paper that can be recycled.
Validation of Problem
RePAPERit contributes to reducing the environmental footprint of the recycling industry and provides economic benefits to those who choose it over other forms of recycling.
Competition & Competitive Advantage
Our main competitor is Epson, which has developed a similar dry defibering recycling unit, paper suppliers and paper recycling companies. However, Epson lacks compared to RePAPERit, as the latter operates faster without any cost for electricity (using solar panels). Similarly, recycling a ton of paper costs much less than 'traditional' recycling, with our 'green paper' being able to be reused up to 5-7 times by the customer.
Team & Why Us
Our team consists of 4 dynamic women, students at the department of Mechanical Engineering from the NTUA, each of whom completes our corporate 'puzzle'. Specifically, we are: Eleni Kourkouta - Hardware Chrysanthi Trikaliotou - Marketing Stalo Anastasiou - Research Eleni Moraiti- Finance
Autonomous A4 paper recycling unit (from printed to blank) that operates with solar panels.
